Ministry of MSD & Entrepreneurship Government of India has conferred Margao Government Industrial Training Institute as the Best Performing ITI and the Principal as one of the Best Principal’s in the country during the International Youth Skill day which was celebrated on July 15, 2016.
The institute has achieved remarkable success in various facts of training and employment. Increase in female and male admission ratio, infrastructural advancement, substantial increase in post training placements followed by high placement retentions are some of the major achievements.
Besides these, the ITI has taken initiative such as introduction of new practices in faculty development programmes, involvement of industries and employers in skill training and employment through MOUs, student’s exposure to industries with the help of associates and IMC. Due to result oriented and focused efforts of Principal, staff and the training facilities, the institute has been rated as *** star.
The turnover of ITI is an example of sincere leadership, team work, company collaboration and efficient training management.
The passing rate has always been steady above 95%. The remarkable success in employment of trainees is a result of strategic partnership; involvement with industries and systematic institutional development.
ITI has a well operational placement cell, updated database and a AVA section wherein campus interviews and also Skype interviews are conducted not only for Margao but for the other ITIs in Goa.
Margao Government ITI has been the only ITI in Goa that has been featured in Hunnarbaaz.
Margao Government ITI is the only ITI to have a well equipped Gym for girls and the boys’ trainees and the staff.
The basic motto of ITI is “Where Learning is a joyful experience” and the Institute tries its best to keep up to it.
We at ITI promote an environment of competiveness, innovation and excellence, encourage extracurricular activities through annual sports, cultural programmes and participate in various skill competitions.
